Sally Morgan - Bovey Rural

Sally is an experienced councillor, having first been elected in 2003, and is pleased to have been elected to represent the area of Bovey Rural at Devon County Council. She is going to be focusing on highways issues and ensuring that her rural area gets a fair deal from the County Council.  She will also be fighting to ensure that the most vulnerable people in her area are protected through this lean fiscal time and that the forthcoming Local Government Reorganisation doesn't allow people to “slip through the net”.

Sally is a trained teacher and runs a breakfast club in her local primary school. She's also passionate about nature and is an authority member and volunteer at Dartmoor National Park.

Alan Connett - Exminster and Haldon

Cllr Alan Connett serves the communities of Kenton, Starcross, Mamhead and Ashcombe, which are part of the Newton Abbot constituency, on Devon County Council.

Fixing the roads and getting potholes and highways drainage sorted are regular features of Alan's work as a county councillor.  He also wants to see improvements in Children's Services across Devon, which has been failing for many years and is classed by Ofsted, the Government inspectors, as 'inadequate'.

Locally, Alan uses his 'community fund' provided by Devon County Council to support local community groups and organisations, particularly our village halls.

Alongside his role as a county councillor, Alan is also a funeral celebrant, delivering civil and non-religious funerals or celebrations of the life lived.
