The statistics, released for the first time this week by NHS England, show the number of people who waited more than 12 hours from arriving at A&E to being admitted, transferred or discharged.
It’s election time, and, lo and behold, all sorts of misinformation has started circulating. One of the areas where the facts need putting straight is road maintenance.

Commenting on new figures from the Scottish Funding Council which show that capital funding for universities is set to decrease by £12.8m (-33.8%) in the forthcoming year, Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Willie Rennie said:
