Local Liberal Democrat MP Claire Young has called on the Chancellor to deliver a Spring Statement that will “save rural businesses” on Wednesday.
Claire Young MP has backed the Liberal Democrats new rescue plan for the SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) system at their Spring Conference in Harrogate, saying that “families deserve far better”.
Almost 1,300 violent incidents have been reported in schools across the Highland Council area in the current school year alone, statistics revealed by the Scottish Liberal Democrats have shown.
Commenting after the motion vote, Liberal Democrat Local Government spokesperson in the Lords, Baroness Kath Pinnock said:
