Orkney and Shetland MP, Alistair Carmichael, has secured a debate in the House of Commons on the future of farming, to be held on Thursday 13th March.
Last night (26th February) Labour councillors exploited a procedural trick to shut down the Liberal Democrats’ Extraordinary Meeting on housing, where they were set to hold a confidence motion in Southwark Labour’s leadership.
Responding to the latest pension credit data showing that there are still 33,700 outstanding claims to be processed and that 114,500 claims were rejected - a 133% increase compared to last year.
Will Forster, Liberal Democrat MP for Woking, is urging the Government to scrap the latest energy bill hike for pensioners who have been stripped of their Winter Fuel Payment.
