Liberal Democrat Councillor Connie Hersch spoke at the recent Council meeting about the blight of fly tipping across the borough. £3 million is spent by the borough’s taxpayers in Ealing on removing fly tips from both businesses, traders and households.
Ahead of the spending review today (11th June) Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesperson Daisy Cooper MP said:
James MacCleary, has called for the Government to urgently change course and rethink their cuts to Personal Independence Payments (PIP), with new data showing that 85% people claiming the Payment in the Lewes constituency could lose out.
Responding to reports that the Government is set to extend the £3 bus fare cap, Liberal Democrat Transport Spokesperson Paul Kohler MP said:
We want the Council to look again at an alternative proposal for merger, put forward by school governors, that has support of 83% of local people and is projected to save £1.5m.
Liberal Democrats have called on the Government to backdate the Winter Fuel Payment for local pensioners who lost out last winter.
