In the May Devon County Council elections Liberal Democrats promised a new approach to funding schools. Now they have secured increased funding from Property Developers building new housing.
Hospices provide compassionate end of life care for hundreds of thousands of people each year, while easing pressure on overstretched NHS hospitals. After years of underfunding and rising costs, our new policy will secure the future of hospice care.
Hospitality businesses are vital for jobs, economic growth, and thriving communities – our new policy backs hospitality, helping pubs, cafés, restaurants, and hotels not just survive, but thrive - supporting local jobs and boosting the economy.
Skills shortages are holding back our economy, while investment in training has plummeted and opportunities to re-skill remain out of reach for too many people. Our reforms will give everyone the tools, support, and confidence to succeed at any age.
Across the country, people are being held back not by a lack of potential, but by a lack of access to the training they need to succeed.
A big thank you to all the residents who joined our Focus Team (Sam, Nana and Wing) for today’s litter-picking session around the Brooklands Pavilion. Your time and effort really made a difference.
